Source for 108 vacuum door lock diaphragms?
Is there a current source for new vacuum lock diaphragms for the 108 doors? Search brings up many good posts on troubleshooting & repairing but no definitive parts source. Thanks in advance.

The only place I could find them for my W123 9 years ago was Performance Products. They actually shipped them to me in Mexico City!

yep, email george murphy at perfanalysis@comcast.net and he can tell you how much they cost now. I think they used to be about $8 each.

Be careful the diaphragms he has for the 108s There are variations in the locks and he only carries one type. I still bought some and I modified them. Mainly cutting away some of the rubber. It worked for awhile but the modifications weakened the diaphragms and small leaks appeared. I made some repaires but the fundamental problem is still present. The wrong diaphragm. I finely broke down and purchased new locking units.
Side note: the trunk and gas tank diaphragms are different sizes and do not work at all.
