'62 220SE torque specs for head bolts, rod bolts?

Hello all,

I'm having trouble finding this information. I'm refitting the pistons and the head for my 1962 220SE coupe, and I need to to know the torque specs for the rod bolts and head bolts (including the small allen-head bolts used on the head). I suppose I could also use torque specs for the oil pan bolts (the ones that hold the entire pan to the block).

I'm also looking for a valve stem seal set for this car. I've only found two sources (******** AZ and CarPartsDiscount), and both are backordered, with an expected delivery of 1-2 months. Any other sources for these?

Head bolts=58 foot pounds.

Connecting Rod bolts=28 foot pounds.

Oil pan bolts=not specified; I would not exceed 15 foot pounds.

Do you have a copy of the shop manuals?

Have you tried the Mercedes Benz Classic Center in Irvine, California? The phone number is 949-598-4850. They stock most parts for Mercedes or get them shipped regularly from Germany.

You can also try calling phil@allpartsexpress.com

They're listed as in stock and I am able to add 12 to my cart, but I am simply not sure that the intakes & exhausts actually use the same seal; you may want to call and find out.
