Did a quick look on the EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) and it looks like there were different air cleaners depending on market, accessories, and VIN. I would suggest:

1. Contacting the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center as previously mentioned (http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/heritage/classic_center/overview?src=4075)
2. Getting a free subscription to the EPC (http://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/welcome.jsp) and seach for the right one under Engine and Group 09 for your particular chassis number
3. Calling your closest Mercedes-Benz dealer parts department
4. Contacting the host of this site (Peach Parts, Buy Parts tab) as they sell new Mercedes parts

You need to have your VIN and the engine model and serial number available for any questions.

Also, many times the part number is on the part, so examine the part to see if there is a 10-digit number. Should be in the form 123 456 78 90.

Do you have a picture of the split boot?
