how is your torque?

67 250S w108

My car has a poor torgue or acceleration speed. Very slaggish. Is it normal for these cars?

I just had the transmission rebuilt, new spark plugs wires distr cap rotor, new weber carbs fuel air filter replaced. Timing set.

What can I do to gain some descent acceleration speed. Like when I press the gas pedal there is not much responds. I dont even know what would happen on going up hill..Maybe roll back?

The most complex systems can fail in the simplest way.

I might be wrong but guessing you mean the ignition retarder is inside the distributor?

That model would have the ignition advance diaphram on the side of the distributor. Check to make sure the plastic hose is properly attached at both ends and that the advance works. Use a timing light to observe the timing marks on the front harmonic balancer.

You might also check to see if the hose is clean with no blockage. My hose was stopped up and thus unable to work correctly to advance.

Ok all clear now. I was confused but yes that hose looks old and dirty. I might even replace the unit on the side of the distributor.

Thanks for all the advises!!
