This is good news. A parts guy at a local MB dealership recently told me parts that have become unavailable magically return if there is enough demand for them.

Its about time. Back when i was searching they did have any at Mercedes. The URO seals sucked, i couldn't even get the glass in the car. I had to order a FEBI seal which i had to buy from the Philippines, 40 bucks for seal, 70 in shipping.... Im glad they are available again.

The front windshield seal for the W123 coupes should be available soon from Mercedes.

Will this seal fit my 76 280C? My car leaks from the rear windshield into the trunk. Will this seal take care of the problem?

You need one for a W114 COUPE. Those are still available, it was the SEDAN seal which was NLA for sometime, thankfully its now available.

The rear seal has a list price of $149.00 and your cost would be $116.50 plus freight. There are currently 6 in the states only in dealer hands and there is stock in Germany now. It would take about 10 days or so to get it. Let your buddies know. The front seal is available too at the same price.

Did anyone in this thread ever order the rear seal and successfully get it in? I ordered one from the Classic Center. I'm having a hell of a time trying to get the chrome trim into the seal, and the seal onto the window. It seems to me like the upper corners of the seal aren't molded to the proper shape for my w115 sedan.

I had no issue at all doing the front window seal. I put the seal on the window, installed the chrome, and rope pulled it into the body frame no problem.

Classics Center has assured me that it's the proper part, but the seal looks more like one for the 115 coupe then the sedan.

Agreed, that looks way off. How does it look on the opposite corner in that instance? Vaguely recall a thread where it was said on the rear window just get one corner looking right, the other will look off but it will work out.

Did you use any goop on the front seal? May be changing mine sometime.

Well, I discovered yesterday that the chrome wasn't going into the corners of the seal due to the u-channel for the chrome being a little molded shut in each corner. I took a razor knife too it and they opened up. Then with tons of soapy water, and lots of patience, I got that chrome to stay in the corner.

I think I'm still going to need a bunch of people helping when I do the rear install, keeping that chrome in the seal as I rope-pull the window in.

Also, what do you mean by "goop on the front seal"?

Did you use any sealant on the front gasket or just rubber/glass/chrome?
