Can interior code 214 Rust Red still be found?
I will need to redo my seat covers and carpets in the next year or so and found my interior color code was 214 "Rust Red". There are actually two different colors on the interior, the door cards match the seats but the caps on the door cards and rear sides are darker maroon to match the dash leather. I am guessing the Rust Red is in reference to most of the leather, the seats and door cards. Would this also be the color of the carpets?
In my searches of makers of new seat covers, upholstery, etc., I don't see my color code, just the other maroon and red colors from the time. My question is can this color be found for seat leather? If not, would you guys just try and match the color to the caps since that's closer to the maroon I see offered? Custom dying does not interest me very much since my leather is shot and I'd need to first buy seats that are in great shape then invest in dying them, seems the long and costly way around the problem.

World Upholstery shows that color code here:
Mercedes interior colors 1966 BUT- They also state not all colors are available, so you'll have to check with them. They may have a leather that's very close in a BMW, Porsche, or Jag color. In my experience, your carpet color should be #1001, "Red", in Squareweave: German Squareweave Carpet Sample Colors Hope this is of some help.
