w108 m117 valve cover gaskets & injector seals

Valve cover gaskets: these are different than any others i've replaced, as in the bottom side is completely flat. Is it necessary to use a silicone sealant or anything like that?

Injector seals: the bottom one seems nice and snug but the top ring seal doesnt seem like it would make a great seal. would if be necessary or benificial to use any kind of sealant with these?

The valve cover gaskets don't need sealant - at least I never put any on. Just don't over-tighten the bolts or the cover will warp and it will leak!

As far as the injectors, there's only 1 seal - the bottom. The top isn't a seal, although parts catalogs may call them a seal. All they do is hold the injector in the retaining ring.

Tom is right about the seal setup/

Check for leaks by spraying brake cleaner at each seal, engine will stumble if leaking.

if so, with the engine off, spray clear coat, give it 30 mins to dry, and you are sealed.

I think it is in the EPC, but I'm not sure.

I do know that there's a club in Canada just for them.
