I believe the 108 and 111 chassis are identical. How would the 109 lower control arems be beneficial? I wounder how the rear upper mounts attach? There is only a pocket that the spring fits into-the bag mount would just fall out.

air suspension

I wasn't sure if the w109 with the factory air suspension was the same as the w112 with factory air ride. the control arms for the w112 have a curve to them.this gives a lot more room for air bags while the w111 are staight and the gussets of the w112 are opposite to that of the w111.

300SEL lower conrtol arm

I see what you mean-here's a 300SEL lower control arm. I would imagine it would be the same as a 112 but not 100% sure. I can see why it would offer much more room for the air bag-I guess thats the idea from the beginning.
