W114 shifter linkage. Part finding expert needed!
So basically if you take a look at these two pictures below. that is the part that needs to be replaced! just the bushing!
[IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] I could buy the whole arm with the new bushing in it but I really just want to buy a new bushing... can someone tell me if this is the bushing that goes in the arm? Mercedes Automatic Transmission Gear Shift Linkage Shifter Bushing 1159920310 I was confident that was the right bushing but now I don't think so.... please help! don't tell me to just buy the arm! I have my reasons LOL Also the car is a 1973 Mercedes 280. Automatic Transmission. Just the regular 280 with the carbed 2.8 M110 Last edited by DaBossk; 01-22-2017 at 05:47 AM. |

No this part is for the 190E and w124 gear shift levers .They are fitted in with bushing pliers .You can get rubber bushes to press in yourself , to fit your yoke you only need the size of the hole diameter . Push the one out you have with a wrench socket . Any industrial rubber bush the same size will do the job.

Actually can anyone recommend which bushings I should buy? I want to replace all of the shifter bushings. Is there a shifter bushing kit I could buy? The car has been sitting for like 3 years and since I've gotten it running I noticed it doesn't shift up to 4th gear. It only stays in 3rd and sometimes it shifts into 3rd gear pretty hard.
