Door Moldings for W115

Does anyone have experience purchasing and installing the aftermarket door molding sets for W115s? These are the ones that mount to the center of the doors and fenders. Picture attached.

How is the quality of these compared to an OEM molding?

I have done this when restoring GM cars. These bend easily. The best advice I can give is go slow.

I've heard about the rubbery parts shrinking up pretty fast, but I don't have experience with them myself. Original would be best for a special car but is probably close to unobtanium.

I have a few aftermarket ones on my W108 and they are decent, but you can tell the difference.

LOL I call them Belt Line Chrome Strips >
A Gel type Lubricant like Point lube / White Grease and a rubber hammer should knock them in OK Yes the Cheap Plastic Can crack and brake
You can apply Lubricant around the Clip Holes with a Q tip before popping them in / Rubber Hammer /Soft wood block Etc.

The OEM ones are available from Mercedes Classic for about $35-$80 each.
