Any Good Exhaust Muffler system for A W108 280 SE 6 Cylinder

Any Good Exhaust Muffler System w108 Mercedes 280 SE 6 Cyinder

6 CYLINDER 280 SE ( Fuel Injected ) 6 Cylinder Muffler Systems
Looking for a 1970 280 SE Sedan

So No Oem Mufflers whats the best economical Dual in and out front Muffler
for A 280 SE 6 Cylinder ?
I am reading reviews that the ANSA Mufflers are Very Bad rust out fast and simply don't have the Mercedes Sound & Performance ?

are their any Mufflers that sound Good and work Good on a 2.8 W108 Mercedes at all ?

I am looking for a OEM type replacement But are their any that are good ?
not seeing any excepting some stainless systems costing a fortune ?
OR ?
Any Good workarounds that sound Good & don't kill performance ?

: I read somewhere that some weld using 2 Glass Packs welded together side to side ?
Wondering about this ? Sounds possible >would you need a Balance Pipe between them ?
However I think Steel Pack Resonators would be much better > " jdhill " posted a Great Pic
of Resonators going into Flowmaster >

Also read about "Timevalve stainless exhaust " Wow They must be very expensive they don't Evan list prices?

I'd have to know the reviewer's definitions of "bad" and "fast", and I also have no personal experience.

However...
Just now I'm sweeping through the C123 exhaust, and so far have received both an aluminized steel muffler section by ANSA and a stainless steel cat section by others.
The difference in weight and sturdiness is quite noticeable.
Fortunately the materials were not reversed.
My strategy is to install the ANSA in the short term while seeking out or building a replacement in stainless.
IOW's I'm proceeding forward with expedience, upgrading later.

I still have an option to cancel out of an order for ANSA center section, go direct to a stainless project.

I remember jdhill (hasn't been around a long time). If he said it works and it's still economically viable, try it. -cth

I have Also Read Good reviews about ANSA Not just Bad Reviews ? that's what this Post is all about ?
All in All so far I am liking Stainless Steel Mufflers , Also > With a Gas Motor rather than Diesel >>
Moisture is an Issue inside and out , Mercedes seem to have quite a Lot when Cold but I am not expert .
Is the OEM " Mercedes Sound Really Important ? " You Bet it is ! 100 % is my Vote for Important.
