W136 manual

Anyone know where I can get a w136 service manual. I recently purchased a 1947 170 and I am having problems re-installing the seats. I know almost nothing about these.

Any assistance is helpful.

Lovely cars. There is a CD version of the book, but probably won't help you that much, since it was written for the professional mechanics who needed details about the engine & drive train more than they did the human comfort items.

Also, there are parts manuals that show you ever component in an exploded view. So you can see what parts & fasteners where used, but not exactly where they go.

Your best bet is probably fellow 170 owners. BTW, I don't think it will matter for this question, but there are several w170 models. Having the correct set of letters usually matters.

Good luck with it. Please keep us posted and share some pictures.
