Transmission question

My dads W108 could use a better tranny it has the 2.8L inline soch engine, i have a trasnmission from a 280 E W123 laying around somewhere and was wondering if it would fit in my dads car?? any ideas?'

I don't think it will work. I have been told that the transmissions from the M110 will not work with the M130's.

I have one in my shed that would fit your dad's 280se.
It's a 1971 280se, the previus owner had bought it in a lot of parts (closing MB mecanic shop), the tranny is known to be working when taken of at the time. included is the torque converter.

The shiping from here (Canada) will probably kill you!!!

I have a 4-speed manual, bellhousing, and linkage for the car. Why not find a clutch setup and have some fun?

the manual 4 speed would go well with the freshly rebuilt engine...but iŽll have to ask him about it when he gets back.
