108 radiator switch

I need a radiator for a 1969 280se. I have one from a 1972 280se and one from a 1972 280se 4.5. One supplier said that they all 3 show different #'s in his book. Will either one of the above work in my 1969? What are the differences?

The difference will be in the side mounting brackets on the 4.5 unit, the other may be the same. The brackets can be switched out with careful use of a propane torch and a screw driver to apply prying pressure. Use the heat to soften the solder holding it on, applying too much flame could result in more damage than good, while applying light pressure with the screw driver. The bracket will pop off. Place the correct bracket in place with plently of soldering flux and solder. Spray with gloss black , install, thank goodness you didn't have to pay that $450 they want for a replacement.
