Thanks, I just got the car, its beautiful but not perfect. Runs great but when hot it has this problem, when in Park, it idles fine, but when I put it in gear, the rpms drop and it stalls. Only after I've driven for a while. I put it in neutral and shift into drive with out the brake then after it engages I give it a little gas, but it hesitates.
Another problem, the horns were disconnected, and for good reason, they are constantly on. I pulled the steering wheel and disconnected the contacts but they are still on. Any ideas? Bad relay? Anyone know what's going on before I take it to my local indie? As an aside, what does NOS mean? Last edited by norbtx; 06-13-2004 at 01:24 AM. |

NOS = New Old Stock
i had the same problem with a 114 and the horn being continually on, turns out it was the leads that run to the horn were shorting out on the surround where they were mounted

You have to track down the wiring. Work upstream from the horns to the fuse. (Oh, and figure out which fuse it is first.
Did you disconnect the horn leads from the turn indicator? You can - Uplug the harness that connects the indicator stalk from the chassis. - Undo the two screws holding down the wires at the base of the stalk. It's good to first disconnect the battery lest, you short something and melt a wire or start a fire. My 250se/c came with an unusual wiring problem. I didn't notice until the first time I drove it at dusk, that every time I hit the brake, the headlights came on. -CTH |

Thanks for the link, exactly what I was looking for.
Check out these 108 fender liners. Will they fit on the 111s?
