Where can I find a part number?

I know there must be a place where one can download exploded diagrams to find a part number. Where is this?
I'd like to find the p/n for the shift indicator cable.
Thanks,

If you're in the US and have a Windows PC, you can go to the Startek EPC site and register for free, and then look up all the parts you like. A credit card is required to register, but they don't charge you.

I'm on a smartphone so I can't give you the link, but if you google mercedes epc you should find it quickly.

Good luck.

Sometimes it is conveniently stamped on the part!

If you're not in the US this site might help

FWIW I tried to subscribe several times in the last 10 days, tried different credit cards, etc, and every time it says "THERE WAS AN ERROR PROCESSING YOUR TRANSACTION"
Sigh...
I will call the Classic Center to see if they have the parts I need.

I make use of this Russian site. When routed through Google Translate, it works ok for my needs:

I couldn't get mine to work either (the epc). As I understand it, I think you need an older version of Internet Explorer for it to work. I can't recall how far back the version has to go.

Thanks,

David

MBUSA epc is having server problems. I had to resort to Russian site too. If you use Google Chrome as browser it will translate automatically.

Thanks guys. The Russian site shows the part I need, but there is no part number for it. If that is the same diagram as on the MB site then I guess there would be no part number there either.

On that site, look up the same part on similar 108 model (say a 280SE) and see if you get a result.

Running Java 6 usually resolved the problem. I have Java 1.6.7_17

Thanks
