Where can I find a part number?
I know there must be a place where one can download exploded diagrams to find a part number. Where is this?
I'd like to find the p/n for the shift indicator cable. Thanks,

If you're in the US and have a Windows PC, you can go to the Startek EPC site and register for free, and then look up all the parts you like. A credit card is required to register, but they don't charge you.
I'm on a smartphone so I can't give you the link, but if you google mercedes epc you should find it quickly. Good luck. |

Sometimes it is conveniently stamped on the part!
If you're not in the US this site might help EverythingBenz - Mercedes-Benz Forum and Web Search Using Google

FWIW I tried to subscribe several times in the last 10 days, tried different credit cards, etc, and every time it says "THERE WAS AN ERROR PROCESSING YOUR TRANSACTION"
Sigh... I will call the Classic Center to see if they have the parts I need.

I make use of this Russian site. When routed through Google Translate, it works ok for my needs:

I couldn't get mine to work either (the epc). As I understand it, I think you need an older version of Internet Explorer for it to work. I can't recall how far back the version has to go.
Thanks, David

Thanks guys. The Russian site shows the part I need, but there is no part number for it. If that is the same diagram as on the MB site then I guess there would be no part number there either.

On that site, look up the same part on similar 108 model (say a 280SE) and see if you get a result.

Running Java 6 usually resolved the problem. I have Java 1.6.7_17
Thanks
