voltage to trigger points

thanks, george - the reason is, i do not have power to my fuel inj. points , at the distributor nor all the way back to the ecm. i do have power from both fuel inj. relays, on the black wires, into the ecm. vehicle currently will not run, i am in the process of a semi-restorartion after (too long) sitting. started and ran a few times til lost power to injectors and i traced it back to the ecm. (yes everything's grounded, yes the points are working) unless i need another power source into the brain that i am not aware of, i'm pretty sure it's burnt (opened it and found several melted spots and a burnt smell). the thing is, i'm not sure how much for an ecm and would like to run this car for a while to see what my other problems may be before shelling out for it. i wanted to give an alternate source to the trigger points of the correct voltage because i believe 12v on a 5v system could certainly damage either the points or the injectors or both. a pin voltage chart would be most enlightening. thanks for your reply.
