The attraction of Sportline springs for my car was that they are Mercedes Benz parts (and quality), engineered at MB for my model car to provide a good compromise between ride and handling, while not messing up the complex relationships of the suspension or requiring modifications just to get the wheels alligned.

The Sportlines will probably not lower the car as much as the H&R or Eibachs. They probably will not have as stiff a ride, either. They will not require modification or drilling of your subframe in order to allign the rear wheels. They WILL be about the same cost, corner and handle in a superb manner, and retain a large % of the original comfort (see the article on Sportline springs under the 'cars' tab, and do a search on the word 'Sportline' to read lots of comments.) Six months after the install, when everything had settled in, I had about 1" drop, without any 'splaying' of the rear wheels ( /-o-\ ). Hope this helps.
