I am confused. A vacuum guage wll only go to 30 inches. That is the theorical "perfect" vacuum.

Are you using a Mity Mite or something?

In my testing on shutoff valves, the shutoff should actuate at about 7 inches HG. It actually starts to close at 5 inches but full shutoff will happen at only 7 inches.
