Not a big fan of used..You can use transmissions from 380's, 420's, 500's, 560's etc.. even E500's and 500SL's, S500's (early boxes) will work just fine.
There is a very good chance it is your B2. Seeing as you will have to drop the box one way or the other might as well get her out and have a look.
The B2 can be done in the car but it is a PITA... I'd wager if you did a search you would find directions on how to do it. if you can't find them here I know they can be found over at mbcoupes.com
