The OEM CD changer is mounted in the LEFT trunk well in the W210 E-Class. I believe most E's should have the wiring harness buried under the trunk mat/carpet set ... perhaps stuck towards the rear seat area (it likely will NOT jump out at you if you "peek" in the trunk well).

If you are using an OEM CD changer, I would make sure you get the mounting bracket, along with the CD changer cover, to help protect against bumps, scrapes, and bruises. I would call a MB dealer to confirm which specific model CD changer works with your car ... as there are many different CD changers ... many of which you might THINK would work ... but will not.
