Ron,

Thank you for your remarks. Looking at the fuel distributor, it is much-much simpler than an engine or an automatic transmission. If you had a gasket set there was no difficulty to replace the individual seals. Pressure testing would have to be done anyway and I do not consider that an expert job. I have a long history of repairing cars (I have rebuilt 5-6 engines) - I am not a mechanic but I am an engineer. Seeing other people's opinion helps a lot.

I am still looking for answers though.
