In one of my 124s I use the stuff Marty indicated above. On the other 124 I used the Mercedes power steering fluid, but since that car calls for a different hydraulic fluid for the hydropnematic system I used the Mercedes hydraulic fluid. I don't know if it's necessary or not but out of an abundance of caution I thought it was a good idea.
