Thank you once again and from your posts the following question comes to mind: -
Some members have mentioned Oil manufacturers alternatives and some of these
alternatives do not sell 0W -40.
Now to me
0W indicates viscosity, weight.
IOWords indicates the
thickness of the Oil. So can I use 5W if the alternatives you members have mentioned only make 5W? synthetic as the
Mercedez engineer and moderator from this forum said purchase the
Fleece filter which I did?
But now if I have to settle for 5W perhaps the Fleece in the filter won't be compatible with 5W only 0W?.
MAN WHAT A ROCKET SCIENCE PROJECT
for the the
simplest of procedures. I have done a 100 oil changes in my life using conventional 10W-30 whether in +20 deg celsuis or -30 deg celsuis in canada obvioulsy using a block heater in the latter mnths to compensate for 10W thickness but never went to 5w in winter always 10w throughout the year
