First gear funniness

The Shlomo(1979 240d- 152k, automatic) has been absolutely perfect lately, which has led me to post less but for the last week or so, the transmission will "clunk" when it shifts from first when it is cold.

It does not do it after the first 2-3 shifts, just seems like maybe the pressure is not building up as it should? There is no audible noise, but a "double" shift seems like it fits the condition well.

It *is* due for a fluid/filter change, as it has been about 15k since it was done, but it seems unlikely that a filter would cause it?

Thanks in advance and I hope to continue with the reliable sercive(and infrequent posting-- touch wood)
