I always thought that a transmission with a front and secondary pump (say an MB 722.3) was not supposed to be towed any appreciable distance or any appreciable speed, but that a trans with out the secondary pump (newer GM, Ford, 722.5) could be towed, since nothing would spin in the trans during towing on these "no secondary pump trannies"?? Same reason tow-starting works on a secondary pump trans and not the front pump only ones. True or False?? I don't know.
Even though I don't know, C32AMG will. Hopefully, he'll weigh in.
