People always say charity begins at home, and that has a lot to do with people not paying attention as much to places like Africa, Haiti, etc.....
Addtionally, there is so much corruption in those countries that if you do decide to offer some sort of financial help, what are the chances that it gets to the proper places?
Wait a minute how about a global organization.....lets' call it the United Nations.
ooops! we already have one of those. Do they do anything besides occupy space in some of the best real estate markets in the world?
Or are they that spread out that they are useless.
Or is their role not clearly defined?
I remember in the movie "Hotel Rwanda" where they existed in a peace keeping capacity and they were not even allowed to draw fire while the rebels were massacring women and children without fear of reprisals...
