What kind of leak do you have? Intake manifolds flow air and the engine doesn't mind small air leaks. In fact the engine will run without the intake manifold.

Oily goop will build in the intake manifold over time. This goop sometimes leaks at the juntion between the crossover pipe and the intake manifold, creating a puddle of dirty oil around where the #2 runner meets the head. You don't have to remove the intake manifold to replace the gasket.

Leaky injector return lines will puddle fuel around the injectors which are near where the intake runners meet the head.

Back to my point, what kind of intake manifold leak are you hoping to fix?
