I forgot to mention the question of rust and the collapsing spring perches. Do look at the hair raising entries on this account here. I have my spring perches examined by the dealer on a regular basis....the rust problem was serious in Germany and in the snow ranges of North America. I saw a car brought to California from New York with considerable rust to the underside. My interlocutors there also saw their first case of a collapsed spring perch in an eight cylinder gasoline motored W210.
