That's what I hate about car dealerships, you pay retail and get wholesale for your trade-in.

My dad could have bought a mint one owner 22k mile gullwing in the mid '70s for around seven thousand, but after owning a 1969 MGC and having a family he was done with sports cars. I think the MGC turned him off sports cars more than anything.

What really blows my mind is the crazy prices that people are paying for mass produced american iron at those hype filled televised auctions. I saw a perfect Silver Wraith barely make 30k, but people will pay 45k for a Dodge Dart with a v8? Go figure.
