I think the prior post is mistaken. M-B never did a manual for the later V-8's; the 3.5's are the last ones. I do know of a very unusual 500E that RennTech converted to a 6 litre and added a BMW 850CSI manual gearbox (6-speed). The bill for that alone was $20K and I can tell you from driving the car that it is unusually notchy.

If you have to have a manual, buy a used 5-series BMW (530, the small V-8 or a 540).
