i have not taken it to any shop since i have had the car (march 3rd) since i plan on doing as much as i can myself although i think i should have someone check it out because yestarday i was greaseing up my window regulators and found a chunk of wood and a pen inside of the door.
im not entirely sure with all the "lingo" here so correct me if im wrong but does indy mean independent mechanic? do they charge anything to check stuff out?
i think the only things missing are the compressor and the high and low pressure lines. the condensor looks like part of the cooling fan was smashed into it but there are not that many damaged fins. should i be ok?
has anyone else replaced the AC system like this? i would love some help(pictures). ive been reading up on previous posts but still could use some help. i also plan on using DieselGiants website for the dryer and expansion valve and the pictorial.
i was looking through the yellow pages today for the auto yards and none of the ones i talked to had anything for mercedes. the one guy even laughed and hung up
. at this point im thinking ebay for a compressor unless anyone has one laying around they'd like to sell
