The resistor is removed (sitting on my desk as I reply). I put a jumper from BAT+ to each of the cable's ends - one cable is thicker than the other, but neither show 2 wires, and aux fans don't run. So trouble with the fan circuit or the fans themselves? Appears like some work to get to the fans even thogh they are looking straight at you.
