Good to hear only the mirror was damaged, you are very fortunate. I was driving an Oldsmobile on I-95 through Philadelphia during morning rush hour when I was passed by a cowboy truck driver with a semi flatbed. He was doing about 80 mph and when he passed me on the right and when he cut in front of me he veered onto the left shoulder and kicked up a piece of angle iron about a foot long. My Olds had chrome bumper and the object hit the front bumper right in front of me. It hit so hard it put a hole in the bumper and deflected over the car. If the object was a foot higher in the air it would have gone right at me. This event really shook me up and reminded me to keep a good distance away from large trucks regardless of the traffic situation.
