If you mean "Star Tech," owned by Sandor Paroczai, then yes, they are great. I left Denver before he opened his new shop off Santa Fe Dr., but at the old shop, I would make an appointment with him for an oil change thus: I arrange for 4 to 4:30 pm on a Tuesday, let's say. I show up with oil. He has technician drain the oil up through the dipstick of my W126. I buy filter from him and finish the job right there. Sandor was truly a master of customer relations, and he knew Benzes backwards and forwards.

I never cared overmuch for Al at Al's ********. He gave me the "German doctor" impression, i.e., he and only he knew what was best for my car. I had a hard time getting an estimate out of him. On the other hand, when he replaced my rear brake pads and they squealed, he worked with me patiently, trying different brands, until it was right.
