I'm looking for an independent MB shop to look at a car for me that's located on the south side of Denver, Colorado.
Any suggestions? |

The best is probably Star Tach at 303-744-7021, they're a big independent operation. They've done some pretty major work for me. Not cheap, but good. Are you stuck in Denver, or are trying to get a car checked out? Send me a PM if you need some assistance at this end.

That's good to know, I've never been there.

I think the real test of an honest mechanic is when you liimp into the shop with an out of state license plate. In my view he failed the test.

If you mean . . .

I never cared overmuch for Al at Al's ********. He gave me the "German doctor" impression, i.e., he and only he knew what was best for my car. I had a hard time getting an estimate out of him. On the other hand, when he replaced my rear brake pads and they squealed, he worked with me patiently, trying different brands, until it was right. .

If I can get together with a seller on price for a particular car I’m looking at I will most definately have someone at Star Tech, Sandor’s shop check the car out for me. It was thoughly enjoyable speaking with him on the phone. As others have said he knows Benzes backwards and forwards. His hourly rate seemed most reasonable too. |
