the ate has pins that are driven in and out with a drift. the bendix has pins that are held in with small hairpins.

i like the ate pins better. otherwise they seem to work the same. in my experience the ate outnumber the bendix by five to one.

they provide the same performance and in my experience are completely interchangible.
