First thing is yes my 300SD I would like to get what I can out of it within reason. I'm not going to be drag racing, but I'd like to get the best boost and tune I can get into it for WVO efficiency. I did cut the muffler out and just left the resonator on and got maybe 5 - 10 % set of the pants feel. So this car is not the one for major power. But I do want to build a 24v engine (606?) or something more crazy and put it into a light chassis like a older coupe? or work with the best chassis for the job.

Sell yours and get a 420sel or 560sel, then you'll have more power than you know what to do with.
Aside from the normal maintenance to make sure you get the most from these engines stock, they are not designed to be powerhouses for tuning etc.
