Brake pad wear sensor problem

My brake pad warning light had been flickering lately so today I pulled off the wheels to have a look. The pads look good, but there seems to be an issue with the wear sensors on the passenger side. (See picture below) I clipped off the bit of the old wear sensor that was still attached to stop the light from blinking for now Do new wear sensors cone with wires attached that will replace this damaged section? Should I just hold off on fixing this until I nee new pads? Thanks for the help.

P.S. I also found that my car has cross drilled rotors installed in the rear.
