My '77 240D has the early series, loop style glow plugs. As colder weather hits, it is more hesitant to start cold.
I have heard about the QUICK GLOW retrofit kit. What comes in the kit and approximately how much $$? Do you still use the existing relay?
I have checked the valves and all are good. Good battery and starter is healthy. Car has 142,000miles.

I have wondered if the Automatics cause more drag on the starter when cold. With a stick, you can push in the clutch.
