I just was in one of my 560's yesterday fiddling w/ cams and the marks are on the washer/tower.. The tower mark is the one that lines up right against the washer, not the one on the back side of the tower, but rather the front.
the attached pic quality is eh, but the blue mark on the gear is where the cam marks are on the other side..
