i don't think you need the manual... i think you need the correct o-rings...

every place where a hose goes into a fitting there is usually an 0-ring.... there is also some blue goo.... like a heavy oil that you can rub the o-rings in to guarantee a good seal...

for the life of me i can't think of the goo.... it comes in about a 2 oz bottle and costs about 8 bucks... some swear by it..others say it's not necessary..

I used the stuff when i did my a/c this summer..
