All has gone well so far....I had the typical--spring jammed the gears on the secondary pump and broke the governor gear. I saw several posts saying to just remove the secondary pump gears and another post said to install washers on the plunger of the secondary pump so doens't engage the governor. Can I just remove the gears, the shut off piston (plunger), compression spring and spring retainer?--this will leave just the housing, o-ring, cap and lockring in place. Will this work and will it cause any problems?
