I have a 1991 190E 2.3. The car runs great and the tranny shifts perfectly (crisp and no slips). I changed the tranny oil and filter recently and it now has a rough engagement when shifting from reverse to drive. It shifts into reverse and drive with no problems. It only does it when I shift into reverse, back up (i.e. from a parking spot) and then shift into drive to go forward. It will slam into first when I step on the accelerator. It works perfectly otherwise....any ideas?
