there would be wiring harness issues. i dont know how hard this would be to deal with. the fuel lines may be different too, i don't know from experience. i have experience with 123 chassis cars. i would also be concerned about the age difference between the two cars. in engine swaps i try to use the same year chassis if possible due to interface problems primarily with electrical accessories.

i would think that if you start with two complete cars you would be able to change it all over. if you hired a shop to do this i would give a WAG that a competent indy would charge around 1,750 to 2,250 for labor.

is it worth it? that only you can answer. but i suspect money wise you would be money ahead to just fix the gasser by installing a good used engine.
