Oh... and back to your slow 300dT. I've got one of those and it was slow as heck when I got it. Now it's as fast (or faster) than a gasser. (Well once it hits 2300 RPMs and the turbo hits). But it really flies. I fixed two things and it fixed the slow problem. And I mean slow as heck!!! But here's what was wrong with mine...
1. Look for a loose Cable (transmission throttle possition sensor cable on top of the valve cover was not connected). The previous owner drove the car like that his entire ownership I think and just thought it was slow.
2. Clean out the banjo bolt and fitting on the back of your intake manifold. This gets carbon in it and no longer pushes air into the ALDA on the injection pump as it should. This will slow you down as well. I fixed both of those and my 300dT
roars. and still purs like a kitten at idle
