You need to move the spring perch out of the way in order to get the bolt out of the control arm bushing. (This is good, it keeps this bolt from falling out if the nut ever comes off). I replaced mine with a generic spring compressor that I rented from a parts store. I had to jerry rig it and I could not actually remove the spring though (it held it compressed, in place so I could drop the control arm down). Not the best way to go, but it did the job and was fairly safe.
