Go for it. I agree as well, it's pretty easy. Just be carefull, lots of little parts to loose, but its easy. Although I couldn't get locktite on the gear, so I pulled the rod out and put a couple of chinks in the end the the gear fits on with chisel, and put the gear back on. Works great now!
