Must be a pretty common problem....
Pizzachef....how long have you owned your car?? When I first got this '85 300D it had a similar odometer problem.......the car has also sat for several years.....I found that when my odometer hung up, it was generally on any of the 9's....but I also found that it picked up again after I had been in reverse....so instead of tearing into the dash....I watched and waited.....and the odometer slip gradually disappeared.....has been since Thanksgiving since it has done the slip......so, in my car's case, just a little use brought it back to life.....
