water pump on 300E

I recently did mine on a 300CE. It is not easy but certainly doable. May I suggest that you go to the search button and type in waterpump removal...you will get all of the information that you need. I did not have the Snap-on FX-13 which does make the job much easier, however, I was able to get the 3 13mm bolts out with a 6inch quarter inch drive extension and a 13mm flex head socket. Be prepared to remove the fan, tensioner (be sure you have a good look at how it is assembled as you take it apart) and remove the bolts to the Power Strearing Pump and move it out of the way. I also found it easier to see the top right hand bolt by removing the plastic rail along the intake side that wires run under and to pull the oil dip stick. This enable me to locate this hard to see bolt. Take your time, lable bolts if this is your first time doing this so that you get everything back as it belongs. The difficult time I had was getting the 6mm allen bolt out which is the top left one closest to you as you look at the pump. I had to use a great deal of PB Blaster and carefully heat the bolt as it would not come loose...the others were fine. Good luck my friend.
